In flagrant disregard of the principles of federal character and equity; Nyesom Wike abandons two out of three senatorial zones of the state, compel the removal of the speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibani Ikunyi Awaji, who hails from Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers East Senatorial District for Hon. Adams Dabotorudima, who hails from Okrika Local Government Area, in the same senatorial zone with Nyesom Wike.
You will also recall that the acting Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Daisy Okocha, is from the same Local Government Area with Nyesom Wike.
With the current power sharing, designed by Nyesom Wike, it has become evidently clear that Nyesom Wike has no respect whatsoever for other zones within the state.
By this, the executive, legislative and judiciary are now domiciled in the Rivers East Senatorial District leaving out the Rivers South East and Rivers West Senatorial Districts without any position.
Information available to me confirms that the former speaker was removed because of his loyalty to Prince Uche Secondus who he perceives is warming up to change him as the party candidate as soon as the Supreme court makes a pronouncements annulling his election.
I am further told that that is the reason why the sponsorship of Ahmed Gulak by Nyesom to ensure that Prince Secondus is removed through a court process.
An eyewitness account said that what transpired at the Assembly chamber was clearly a constitutional and Standing Order breach by a group of lawless people masquerading as lawmakers.
Rivers people will be watching in the coming days as more drama from the Nyesom Wike camp unfolds.
