  • The number of Polling Units where elections will be conducted
    today in different LGAs of Rivers state includes:

Tai -12

  • materials has so far left the INEC office in Okrika to the
    12 units were elections will hold.
  • Materials have arrived all units in ward 12 in Gokana 

  • Ward 4, Sogho is relatively quiet with prospective voters
    hanging around, waiting for materials and electoral officers to
    arrive. Party agents are yet to be seen.

  • Election have started in unit 004 ward 16 Ogbogoro in
    Obio/Akpor Lga
  • Election have started in ward 6 unit 11 Opobo/Nkoro LGA voting now ongoing.

  • Materials just arrived ward 16, bera community Khana LGA as accreditation Commences.

  • Accreditation now on in Unit 13 Nonwa  Tai LGA

  • A man identified as Jolly boy in ward 12 OBALGA, has just
    been arrested. The police said he has been seen in 3 different units as he
    failed to properly identify himself and why he was moving around. 

  • Etche LGA,Umu-aka community. Ward 13, units 6,9,10,12,13,14 and 16 have started accreditation, and voting ongoing.
  • accreditation and voting have started in Ward 7, Unit 4 & 11 in Ogu, Ogu/Bolo LGA.

  • FROM ABUA ODUAL: Security agents have intercepted and
    arrested a vehicle belonging to Mrs Betty Appiafi (Member Representing
    Abua-Odual/Ahoada East federal constituency) carrying several bags content
    believed to be cash in different currencies. The vehicle, and occupants of the
    vehicle including the chairman of the PDP in the LGA Kenigheni Wariboko are now
    in the custody of the police.

We hear there are serious moves by top echelon of the PDP to
release them.
Mrs Betty Appiafi (Member Representing Abua-Odual/Ahoada East federal constituency)
Marshal Obuzor, Brother-in-law to Wike and SSA on
Social Media. who is a registered voter in 
Ubio Unit, Ward 11 in Ahoada West LGA attempts to bribe an INEC
official at the RACC Centre for Wards 1 – 4 in Mbiama, Ahoada West LGA.
 He was timely intercepted by the Security Agents posted there.

  • Materials have arrived Ward 4 Ahoada West LGA under tight security as accreditation and voting kicks starts

  • Senator Magnus Ngei Abe have just been spotted with his wife at his polling unit in Bera Community, casting his vote.

  • The Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and
    Safety Agency NIMASSA, Dr. Dakuku Peterside has confirmed that electoral
    material meant for one ward in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area was hijacked
    by thugs.

 Peterside also
confirmed that the material have been recovered from the hoodlum due to timely
intervention of security personnel in the area.
 Peterside who spoke
after visiting that area said: “Opobo/Nkoro is peacefull generally. We observed
that they imported some people from outside the LGA. “Election for one unit was
hijacked by some boys, but the security agencies have recovered it. That
materials have arrived and it is going orderly for now.”

  •  Voting has also began in
    some parts of Eleme  but there is low
    turnout of voters, possibly because the exercise was delayed.

  • Our correspondent reports that Elections have been concluded in Bera and Nwe-biara community respectively, all in Khana LGA.
  • Elections have alsso been concluded in all units of ward 7 Nonwa, Tai LGA
  • Report says , men of the Nigerian Police Force have gunned down armed political thugs in Bodo axis of Gokhana LGA in the state, our correspondent reports that luck ran out of a member of the gang as they tried to cart away with electoral materials. Other members of the gang ran away as men of the armed forces overpowered them.
