The court of appeal sitting in Abuja has nullified the conduct of the senatorial election for Rivers South east senatorial district on the 28 of march
, In a ruling delivered on friday 11th December the court panel upturned the judgment of the election tribunal that upheld the election of olaka nwogu of the Peoples Democratic Party as a senator for Rivers south east.
Ruling was delivered based on petition filed by senator Magnus Abe who contested the Rivers south east senatorial election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Our correspondent Ibitamuno Martins Ogolo reports that the appeal court Directed the Independent national electoral commission to conduct fresh election in Rivers south east senatorial district within 60 days.
