APC UK Lagos state chairman, Hon Felix Adewale Ajayi has expressed his appreciation to the Chairman of APC Lagos state, Alhaji Babatunde Balogun for attending the well-organised and over-subscribed video conference that held on Saturday, July 18th, 2020. During the conference, Hon Ajayi requested for more inclusion of Diaspora members, who are on the ground and can be called upon as at when needed.


“We have a formidable leader in the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed , who had laid down a blue print since 1999 on which subsequent administrations have been following right from the time of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola to the present administration of Governor Babajide sanwoolu, who is doing a fantastic in the state”.

These were the words of Alhaji Babatunde Balogun, Chairman APC Lagos state, when he was asked how the state had been able to become the envy of other states from one successful government to another.

Alhaji Balogun was commended for delivering all the 40 LCDA/LG seats of LSHA during the last election. In his response, he attributed the victory, first to God and to the fact that the party is united in Lagos state; he urged the Lagos Diaspora chapter to continue to support the party at home.

Mr. Kunle Osunlalu, a stalwart of the party and the coordinator of the Diaspora forum thanked the Lagos State Chairman for his unflinching support at all times on Diaspora matters, he said that he would like to do an Oliver twist by asking for more support for the Diaspora party members.

The Chairman responded by requesting for a database of members in the Diaspora for inclusion in the state’s activities should the need arise. He stated that the tenure of the current chairmen has been extended by 1 year in line with the new signed to by the past administration, which gives a 4-year tenure to chairmen.

The host and anchor of the successful , Prof. Adebisi Adewole thanked the Chairman for his time in honouring our call and hoped that he would do the same when called upon in future. Prof Adewole went further to thank the South West elders in Nigeria namely Pa Bisi Akande, Otunba Henry Ajomale and Chief Ayo Afolabi.

Other pillars and notable leaders of the party that attended the conference included Engr Adekunle Olayinka (SA to Gov SanwoOlu on DAWN), Hon Kenny Ojutalayo (APC UK South West Chairman), Dr. Badeji Lee (Chairman, APC UK Ekiti Chapter), Barr J.K.
